Today we are addressing the 5.1 mix of THRAK…

To quote Jeff Fayman: you don’t drive looking in the rear-view mirror; so returning to any part of the KC catalogue requires discipline to place myself in the studio.

I was much happier four hours after arriving. We established the basic form of the sonic architecture, plus some details, and with this in place I am not afraid to return next week to take THRAK further. Also next week: overdubbing Mel Collins on Jakszyk, Fripp & Collins – Trio of Terror!

Before leaving, Jakko played a hot idea sent by one of two Crim-drummers Gavin: for two drummers in 27/8. This has a DNA that I recognize.

Leaving c. 14.00 for DGM HQ, an uneventful journey arriving to a mass of arisings, currently underway.

18.44    David has just left, with a call 30 seconds afterwards from his Wife saying that the meeting which prompted his home-returning has been cancelled. So, hopefully a happy evening at home for David.
